Sure, here is my settings. I disabled g.inp because if I enable that syncing up takes too much time on both of my modems so I disabled it.

Thanks, there are a couple of tweaks we could apply but if OK with yourself, I will chat with ASUS DSL Team and see if they can advise on what the best options for DSL Settings for Turkey are etc ?

    Q. is you ISP – Turk Telekomunikasyon ?

Your settings are correct except for the stability settings. Is there a time difference between the two devices or were they tested on the same day?

I plugged in the old modem (dsl-ac52u) back just after trying the new one and it had the higher downstream rate.

Nothing new to me that older chips can be better on old lines than newer ones which are optimized for newer or other protocols.

Do your speed test results come out more than 32 Mbps when you use DSL-AC52U?

After using TĂĽrk Telekom for 10 years, I switched to TĂĽrknet. I am using the same modem and the settings that I have turned off are obviously not very noticeable, so at least it is for me. I recommend you to file a complaint via BTK while your speed is already down. I struggled for years but they just changed it to VDSL. The next spine is still bad… I am using Merlin and I have adjusted my QoS settings according to my modem data and set it manually in CAKE mode.

Can Bufferbloat be effective in lowering CRC?

Bufferbloat is essentially latency (or delay) under load,  whilst CRC is an error detection algorithm used to verify packet transmission between two points (ends). A CRC error indicates that part of the data packet is damaged and requires resending.

If a CRC type error occur during transmission of a DSL packet, which is not recoverable at the receiving end, the packet is dropped.

Generally – if the packet is dropped, then a new packet ‘should’ be sent/requested, hence delay but only a few CRC is not the end of the world and buffer bloat for gaming is such a big subject

FYI: Buffer Bloat should not reduce CRC’s but may help packet loss and is dependent on what the cause of the CRC’s are ?

Yeah it was faster, but after 2 days it seems new modem is more stable so maybe my old modem was syncing at faster down stream than it should be.

Yeah I have some plans about how to get them to fix the line, but it will probably take months.

So I have had a chat with ASUS but need to check one more setting, can you screen dump your DSL-AC52U DSL settings page.

Are you on a capped service, i.e. do you pay for 30Mbps or 50 Mbps downstream or simular ?

Hey, sorry for my late answer. My line was very close to the naked power lines so I told them it is a fire hazard and managed to make my isp put a new pole for my dsl line. When doing that they accidentally killed the already old and damaged cable so I’m getting no signal and waiting for them to connect a new cable to my house.

    Here is my dsl settings:

Okay they replaced the line partially, there is now patched part in the pole which can cause issues in the future due to weather conditions but my connection is vastly improved for now.
