Tested 43184 (asus send it to me as a reply to my feedback)… the nodes connections’s drops are still present…
Reverted to 42095 (and all ok)… I’ve finished to do betatesting!…

August 9, 2021 at 9:27 pm #14643Contacted Asus a week ago and still no response. Any ideas if they have pinpointed what is causing the problems since 42095?

I will ask ASUS

August 13, 2021 at 12:29 pm #14679Have Asus deliberately removed older firmwares?
Looks like only 42095 and 43181 are now available

August 13, 2021 at 12:41 pm #14680Well spotted, it does appear so and they both have the same date ? (2021/08/11 )
I assume they must have found something interesting in the releases they removed and decided to start again

I still have not had any feedback from ASUS on the issues with the ZenWifi AX,

August 16, 2021 at 12:34 am #14721I asked the question about the removed firmware and for an update on progress with fixing the issues I have been having. Still no response…… Looks like ASUS are either very busy or do not know how to fix all the issues with these units. I am dreading that this will become another unit that ASUS decide to abruptly stop supporting. Really poor communication from ASUS.

August 16, 2021 at 7:23 am #14724@dodgydrains – I am sure they are just busy, I will try another contact I have at ASUS to see if I can get any form of an update

August 16, 2021 at 3:50 pm #14726I am confused that I got 43181 some time ago, but it is now shown as being released 2021/08/11. Clearly some mistake here? What have they done with things?

August 16, 2021 at 4:09 pm #14727@dodgydrains noticed this also the other day, seems ASUS have decided to remove a few firmware releases and only leave 2 remaining firmware both with the same date

I assume they are starting again,

August 18, 2021 at 7:46 am #14736Just got a weird reply from ASUS:
“Thank you for contacting ASUS support
We are terribly sorry to be advised that you are experiencing issues with your ASUS product.
To arrange a return/RMA of the component, please contact your seller to arrange the return for repair, replacement or refund. Please note that the return can be arranged via the distribution chain only. As ASUS does not sell any products directly to end users we cannot be seen as the seller.
Our apologies for the inconveniences caused to you.”
The problem is the firmware, not sure why this reply was sent. I asked for an update on the firmware and why older firmware was removed from download. This response is absolutely ridiculous.

August 18, 2021 at 10:40 am #14738August 25, 2021 at 8:12 pm #14812Just got this message from ASUS:
” Please try to make the node (xxxxxxxxxxxxx) WAN Port connect to Mesh router LAN Port.
And then make the Surface Pro 7 connect to node. See if any improvement. And if there would have the same teams connection problem while Surface Pro 7 connect to Node LAN Port previously?”
Told them no way for me to do this as that node is located far end of my house with the router at the other end…

August 25, 2021 at 8:49 pm #14814I am sure they mean you have to move that node closer ( for testing) but that does effect others in house maybe, shame as they must be interested to find the fault and looking to see if issue is also LAN (ethernet) based .
Shame you don’t have a 20 metre ethernet cable lying around
