You should be able to just flash the RMerlin firmware straight onto the router, without needing to back it up and restore. just make sure you use the major releases likeΒ RT-AC86U_384.6_0.zip etc
Note; back-up config is wise, just incase you hit an issues, but usually it works well as a straight flash

October 2, 2018 at 7:41 pm #994October 17, 2018 at 5:54 pm #1157Since updating to the latest Merlin FW (384.7) my system time is correct but the time on the logs is an hour behind ?

October 17, 2018 at 7:32 pm #1158With Your RT-AC86U, under Advanced Settings > Administration > System, – Time Zone is there aΒ message saying (* Reminder: The System time zone is different from your locale setting.) ?
If this is so, then you need to go toΒ Advanced Settings > Administration >System and change DST Time Zones as in Attachment and make sure Time Zone is – Dublin, Edinburgh, Lisbon, London.
Hopefully this will fix issue with time discrepancies.

October 17, 2018 at 9:28 pm #1160It is set exactly the same as in your image.
And i am not getting this message –Β Reminder: The System time zone is different from your locale setting.
Tried a reboot and changing time zone to something different and back again with no joy.

Interesting, I am onΒ 384.5 and log time is correct relative to system time, I will upgrade to RMerlin releaseΒ 384.7 tomorrow and see if I have the same issues ?

October 18, 2018 at 8:06 am #1162I have flashed my RT-AC86U with RMerlins –Β 384.7Β and did not factory reset, so far Logs WEB History and General Logs are synched with System time?
When you get a moment, give us a screen dump of your System page so we can have a look ;)

That is interesting, I assume General Logs are still 1 hour out?
