If a radar signal is found on a channel while probing (listening) the router must not use this channel for an hour. Then it may test and use this channel again (if nothing is found).

GNUton writes firmwares for asus DSL routers based on Merlin firmware as he never supported DSL-types.

Merlin is a open firmware project for asus routers based on Asus-WRT and offers much more features, bug fixes and enhancements.

You can always go back to official asus firmware.

This is the default IP on newer Asus routers, usually you can change modem IP and subnet for clients in settings tab.

There have been some rumours about TrendMicro in the past (about 2 years ago), I think now it is ‘quite’ ok to use it again, but bad feeling remains.

I personally would avoid it if possible, others are trusting …

Correct, it at least has been very buggy and some got hacked.

And to use Asus-DDNS you have to allow them to use your data, it comes budled with some other ‘features’ like AI-protection.
