Good luck, I’m still using the DSL-750 model. In terms of DSL performance, I think this modem offers the best performance for Turkey. Airties is an old modem but its performance is also good. Instead of buying a modem, you can open it in bridge mode and get a router. Xiaomi routers are not bad and cheap. It performs very well when used with Openwrt. I recommend the Redmi 4A Giga. But Asus is still the best solution for me as modem and routing in DSL. Thank you sir for your contribution.

I am using 979  My snr margin pointed 9db and I have only 9073 CRC for 3 days. It is very good.

Set reboot scheulder for once a day. That is temporary solution.

what you demand is impossible

 

Yes that is possible some manufacturers have added this feature eg keenetic but I do not want access from the internet.I just want the public ip to be forwarded to ddns not private ip on cgnat. I do not use static and  am using nextdns so i have to send my current public ip to update ip record for next dns. But if Asus can add DoH or DoT support it won’t be needed.

I am using Asus DSL-AC750 model. I get internet service over VDSL in Turkey. My internet service provider uses CGNAT. A public ip is shared by several users. That’s why private ip is shown on the modem interface. That’s why DDNS is not redirecting to my public ip. It is directed to private ip. This is a problem so I can’t use the DDNS service. Can you ask Asus to forward DDNS service to Public IP on CGNAT?

Hello, I’ve got a few questions: First, you’ve mentioned that 959 is not working so well, but now you are saying that it is perfect. Could you share your new settings? Because I also have tried 959 and got 1 CRC error per minute. The second question is a little bit more naive. I wasn’t even aware that I was having CRC errors because I don’t have disconnection problems. But when I’ve checked, it is suggested that even having a few CRC errors is not acceptable, let alone 1 CRC per minute. Can someone elaborate on this one? @UKSentinel, Thank you for still providing us with beta firmwares and keeping us updated with ASUS.

Yes, Mediatek DSL modems are buggy.  v1.1.2.3_858 firmware is latest stable release but this firmware’s dsl driver is not working properly. Customers have too many crc errors and this version is factory firmware. If you buy a new DSL AC 750 or etc., this buggy firmware comes pre-installed.
