I didn’t know you have issues with your line? I though last time problem was solved. Hope you order one with clear idc connectors, these colour ones (blue and red) was faulty, apparently.

I wonder if your telephone extension is not shorted somewhere. If you can do quiet line test with everything plugged in as it is now but do test on telephone extension.

Yeah, and personally I don’t think the G.fast one will make much difference on vdsl. Very similar design to Mk4, only higher frequency filter which is not used on vdsl.
The G.fast Faceplate sounds interesting, as it for G.fast and VDSL and has a newer REIN filter, seems only MK1 had no REIN Filter, MK2 had the First REIN filter and by the MK3 they changed the standard REIN filter, MK4 also has a REIN filter and is the latest faceplate offered by BT until G.fast install is required when the G.fast faceplate is used with NTE5C Master Socket. I think that correct ?
Did you tried using phone after you fit new faceplate?
You still got old one which is not bad, if you want to change it apparently mk3 is the best, therefore not sure if it got REIN filter. If you are just after REIN filter, have a look for Kauden broadband stabiliser. https://www.amazon.co.uk/PCSL%C2%AE-Broadband-Stabiliser-Line-Conditioner/dp/B07DLFQJ3L

I don’t think you can get fake ones like BT official from China. Most likely BT engineers sell them, mine was brand new and sealed. However you can buy something equivalent with slightly different shape made by different supplier without BT logo, other than that official BT is made so cheap way that is not worth for China to copy

Have look for this if you want to see what’s inside https://youtu.be/jD67a-ZC7VY

Ebay is not that bad, checked history, I bought mine original BT for 8 pounds last year, this was nte5c with mk4 faceplate.
DS Interleave Depth : 1513 will be interesting if/when this changes
Don’t want to guess too much but could be two stage intervention, one after 3 days to reduce interleave and then further 5-6 day to get fastpath, or fastpath straight away after 5-6 days.

That’s really good, previous day with below 100k FEC errors, 41k now, not getting worse, that is a good sign. Do you still have SRA disabled?

If you fit new faceplate these stats should be even better as modem signal going through REIN filter what should imorove signal quality. But this what is now should be good enough to get fastpath.

That is still pretty good like for nearly 24h. I will say big improvement.

Well, your choice. Thing is if you will get fastpath you can disconnect any time and you will not loose it (if amount of errors will not go through the roof) . If you disconnect tomorrow you will brake DLM monitoring period and new period will start (at least 6 days). Also I personally will recommend to change whole socket it will take 5 min any way. Hope you order one with clear idc as your current one.
