Hi all,

New member here! :)

Got my DSL-AX82U couple of days ago and have finally set it up yesterday night. It’s still very early, but I’ve noticed a big difference in the wireless coverage area (for better) and also VDSL2 line speed increase. I have AiMesh with a RT-AX92U which gives perfect coverage in all my property including garden.

My old one the DSL-AC68U was about 7 years old and I think it was asking for a replacement – I started notice more connection drops so many that my line speed dropped and switched from FastPath to Interleave. Also started noticing bottlenecks on the wireless coverage.

I’ll post more details as time goes by.

Welcome @trainzer – sounds like you have a good set up with the DSL-AX82U and RT-AX92U  in AiMesh

Shame really that VDSL2 speeds are your bottleneck now

Good to hear, where did you get the DSL-AX82U from @trainzer?  I see amazon UK have now changed to 1 – 2 months delivery…. earliest dates are now in May it seems.

Some memory usage increase over time is normal, but it should stop eventually – how many days has the DSL-AX82U been running and what is memory used upto ?

FWIW – I did notice on the changelog I had on the last firmware I released is mentions a fix to a memory leak ?

Are you on the latest firmware – DSL-AX82U_3.0.0.4_386_42438 ?

What is your  ‘disable nat tunnel’ set to ? as aaews is associated with the ASUS NAT TUNNEL  I believe ?

Yes I’m on the latest firmware, after switching on it has about 280MB and after 6-7 hours it reaches 291 , but sorry I switch it off for the night and when I go to work, I don’t like leaving it on for all day, maybe memory leak stops on 290-300 that’s why I’m not too bothered to much, just wanted to point out.

Amazon UK. I ordered it at the beginning of April when it was saying temporarily out of stock. It was a nice surprise to get it this week.

Did notice memory increase after some hours, but nothing else since.

On mine it’s currently 77%-78% memory utilisation and its been like that at least in the past 12 hours.

wow 77-78% hmmm bit high no? wondering if should get the AX86U now and modem instead….. doesn’t seem much room left in ram…
