January 31, 2024 at 8:34 pm #30349Welcome, as this update includes several security improvements, I would suggest an upgrade is advisable.
I have not seen any negative feedback regarding this new firmware release for the ASUS XT8.
remember to take a backup of your current configuration before you upgrade, just incase this new XT8 firmware release proves to be unstable and you have to revert back

You should try updating. You can always go downgrade back to the firmware that worked best for you.

February 2, 2024 at 8:23 am #30355I have updated to the latest firmware but have noticed since then in the system logs this happened loads. No idea what it means but have just submitted feedback/question via the interface. it is set manually to channel 1 as auto knocks the connection to the ring doorbell off otherwise.
Has anyone else noticed this?

February 2, 2024 at 9:23 am #30356Maybe they reduce bandwith to 20MHz, for 40MHz you need central channel 3.

February 2, 2024 at 9:27 am #30357I believe this is referencing channel ย 1 at 40MHz then switching to channel 1 at 20MHz
try changing bandwidth from Auto to Manual 20MHz if the message annoys you.
There is a cmd to tell you what Eth4 relates to but am out and about at the moment and will find it later.
