Try beta585, just to make sure ;)
Long shot, also try unplugging unit for 30 mins (or longer) then plug back in as this has worked for me in the past with real early Alpha firmware’s

This has 3 year warranty I think. Get in contact with Asus.

October 31, 2018 at 7:46 am #1327As @dodgydrains says, these DSL-AC88U have a three year warranty and you have tried the obvious options to fix issue, so defo return router to supplier if at all possible?

October 31, 2018 at 11:55 am #1328Do you know if Asus will get round to fixing BuferBloat on the DSL-AC88U?
My cheap TalkTalk provided DSL3782 rates A and this rates as B or C.

April 2017 I was using the DSL-AC88U and chatting to ASUS regarding BufferBloat, ASUSWRT for DSL-AC88U does not and never will support – Smart Queue Management (SQM) algorithms such as cake, fq_codel, PIE etc. to reduce the effects of buffer bloat.?
Bufferbloat is a big subject, with very many factors, enabling QoS and setting the download speed t0 5-10% below your attainable speed offers the biggest single measurable fix. but beyond that, it is not a pure gaming router, as Such.

October 31, 2018 at 5:08 pm #1330Thanks for that, it is silly that a cheap router from ISP handles this better than the more expensive 3rd party one.
Just had another BT engineer visit due to errors and line fault. He did a port change (I think in the cabinet). Would this have resulted in a DLM reset? Line now has 1265 interleaving and G.998.4 (G.INP) no longer showing. Sync now 64630 kbps with max rate 77342 kbps.
Is it now a case of waiting to see what DLM does? If so how long is the wait for G.998.4 (G.INP) to be enabled?

October 31, 2018 at 6:06 pm #1332Looks like you are back on Interleave (Downstream) so hopefully G.INP should come back in around 3-4 days if nothing else has issues.
BT must love you ;)

Luckily I knew the guys, the last one used to live a few streets away from me. I have basically had everything changed that could be changed.
Am I right in thinking that G.INP reduces the errors and increases sync and maximum attainable? I was previously told by TalkTalk to wait up to 48 hours for DLM to do it’s thing.

November 1, 2018 at 8:17 am #1337@dodgydrains – In theory, yes should reduce errors and DLM to do is thing in 2 days is optimistic, but depends on line condition etc.
