I think itβs been 2 months since I bought the modem. I changed these settings before and used it for about 1 week. After that, the snr value dropped to 8, when my internet started to not disconnect constantly, I reset the modem and restored it. Of course, I donβt know if it went down to these values ββbecause of the setting I made or if it fell to these values ββbecause of the failure of the isp. My download speed was as low as 33. Is it possible that the setting I made on the modem is causing problems in the ISP line?
You must leave an ISS e fault notification for inconsistency in your line value.

January 13, 2022 at 9:32 am #17025Maybe this is another bug ??
This happens when you config schedule wifi on the DSL AX82U and also configure the physical button on device to turn off Wireless temporarily
By doing the above it actaully turns off the wireless schedule you have created
Have tested this and when i go into the wireless settings the schedule for the wireless has been disabled
So everytime now i press the physical button on the 82U it will disable the wifi schedule i have created
So i have to go back into settings to re enable the wifi schedule everytime i temporarily disable WiFi !!

January 13, 2022 at 10:44 am #17026Interesting: are you on the latest firmware Version 3.0.0.4.386.45660
If so I will drop ASUS an email and could you also send a feedback form stating as above

January 13, 2022 at 3:08 pm #17030January 18, 2022 at 7:04 am #17156If you are discussing things with Asus, their QoS FAQ point 9 is not very clearly written though top down priority overruling any lower rule is still conveyed, but far more importantly raises the question of β with order so important why is it not yet possible to rearrange the order? In the worst case scenario wanting to alter any of the fields for the upper most rules other than the priority drop down results in having to rebuild the entire stack.
OK, so I have chased ASUS again yesterday regarding that early last year ‘around May’ I asked if the QOS (Traditional) could be changed to allow the movement of the rules to be adjusted by UI (moved Up and Down) ? (for all ASUS models).
Alas still no update, but I did emphasize to ASUS again that this would be a useful feature, it would help if all owners of ASUS routers (RT and DSL)Β can send a feedback form requesting this feature, if they think this would be of use ?

Just letting you know that the latest firmware DOES NOT fix the above issue that my router is currently suffering
Have completely reset the router and rebuilt – Still the same issue with the WiFi Schedule and hardware button

April 19, 2022 at 6:55 am #18713So as you described,Β I enabled wifi scheduler and saved the settings, I then set the WPS Button behavior button option to Toggle Radio.
After enabling wifi scheduler I then logged out of DSL-AX82U and then pressed and held the WPS button for about 2-3 seconds until Wifi LED went out.
I then re-enabled wifi via the WPS button and logged back into the DSL-AX82U and indeed Wifi scheduler was disabled.
I seem to remember this has always been the case with ASUS routers, but will check with ASUS to see if this can be changed

April 19, 2022 at 10:43 am #18715Ok, so I spoke with ASUS and I now know why ASUS has configured wifi scheduler / WPS button the way they have. This does seem to be a good compromise as the WPS button can be used as a Physical wifi scheduler override if ever needed for convenience.
Example ASUS gave as below:
——
For example, at 1:00 ~ 8:00, it will be disabled by scheduler.
At 0:00, user disable wifi by button. At 7:00, user re-enable wifi by button.
If wifi scheduler is re-enabled, it will be disabled again by scheduler.
User will need to modify the router setting to turn on the wifi radio.
It is notΒ convenient.

April 19, 2022 at 11:27 am #18716Appreciate you getting back on this issue so quickly
So now i will just turn off the router when not in building – hence keeping WiFi schedule intact when router is turned back on again
Yes i know i will sacrifice my fibre speed by turning the unit off – but rather thatΒ – than having to log into router every time to turn schedule back on !
Thanks for finding this info from Asus

April 19, 2022 at 1:40 pm #18717Unsure if this helps, but if its only yourself and maybe a couple of others who use the wifi, you could set the ‘Hide SSID’ option so that you can connect to wifi because you know the SSID name, but others outside will not see the SSID name when they scan the airwaves etc. ?
