Good to know, @dodgydrains is conducting some more testing with newer firmware release next week, so will be good to hear his findings also

I’ll let you know early next week regarding Microsoft Teams on 43181 with the settings I used on 42095. I have no idea how to run PingInfo, downloaded it but not sure what I am testing or to look for:

I will test with the following settings on 43181 next week:
Wireless mode: AX Only
Channel bandwidth: 160MHz
Control channel: 124

Interesting, so on 42095 all works, but with same settings on 43181 etc, issue with teams ? I bet you wish you purchased the Netgear Orbi

The only difference in setting on 42095 compared to 43181:
Wireless mode: AX Only
Channel bandwidth: 160MHz
Control channel: 124
I would have got the Orbi if it had the Parental Control. Orbi was much too expensive and no included Parental Control was the killer.

After more problems with Microsoft Teams yesterday, I decided to roll back to 42095 last night.
With 5GHz-2 set to following:
Wireless mode: Auto
Channel bandwidth: 160MHz
Control channel: Auto
The backhaul was only 80 MHz
I then changed it to:
Wireless mode: AX Only
Channel bandwidth: 160MHz
Control channel: 124
Straight away backhaul changed to 160MHz
Microsoft Teams has been working fine today
Free RAM on 43181 (including 43169 & 43170) was around 200MB, on 42095 it is 240 MB
Sort this mess out Asus!!!!!!!

These are the NAT Passthrough settings. Only thing I changed was SIP Passthrough to disabled

Interesting that SIP Passthrough was enabled (interesting for myself at least)

</noscript>I forget, whats the ZenWifi nodes connecting too ?The nodes are connected to a Nokia router provided by Hyperoptic

Whats your Router ? Edit: From your ZenWifi go to Advanced Settings > WAN > NAT Passthrough (hopefully you have the NAT Passthrough Tab), then check to see what SIP Passthrough is set as ? If ON then disable SIP Passthrough and see if that helps with Teams calls etc. ?
The Surface Pro is connected via wireless to one of the ZenWifi nodes. Turning off ipv6 did not help much. I will try with SIP Passthrough disabled (it was enabled by default).
I had the same setup previously, but instead of the ZenWifi the Surface Pro was connected wireless to TP_Link powerline adapters (TL-WPA8630KIT V2).

Also, without going to deep into your whole set-up, have you set-up or disabled SIP ALG (SIP Pass-through) Just a thought ?
No idea what that is
. My set up for working from home is a workplace supplied Microsoft Surface Pro connected via USB-C to my home monitor’s HDMI.The Surface Pro has Windows 10 and Office 365, it uses Microsoft Teams to make calls and also online meetings.

Let us know if Teams has improved with 43181 this week

Same problem exists with 43181. I have now turned off ipv6 and will continue testing this week. Really annoying and weird, no problems with streamlining or anything else just online meetings.

I have factory reset and updated to 43181. After setup, restarted the mesh network.
In the last week or so I have had quite a few Microsoft teams meeting, whilst working from home. Randomly during calls I get notification saying weak signal and cannot hear others in the meeting talking (this lasts a few seconds), then suddenly starts to work again (the wifi indicator shows full bars with connected at all times). Not sure if any of the other users with the XT8’s have experienced this on 43170, hopefully this is fixed on 43181….

I spoke with ASUS and they believe update servers should be fully synced by later today / tonight with changelog etc.
Changelog:
Bug Fixes and Enhancements:
1. Fixed guest network related issues.
2. Improved system stability.
3. Fixed Android 7 device connection issues.
Thanks, I will do a factory reset after updating. Hopefully the backhaul is more stable.

A new update has just appeared (3.0.0.4.386_43181-g6099e58). There is nothing on the webiste for this with changelog.
I’ll wait till the evening or weekend to see if there is anything on the website.

I will chat with Asus in the morning to make sure they have received the logs ;)
Any news from Asus on whether they received the logs?

Thanks, I have sent feedback. Would it be better if you sent to your contact? Happy to PM the syslog.txt to you.

Under Asus system log the uptime is 8 days 8 hours 13 minutes.
The Hyperoptic Nokia modem running time is 8 days 8 hours 15 minutes.
So it looks like the mesh went down?
The last time it went down it was similar. Last time I went and factory reset the modem and the whole mesh network thinking that might clear any issues with possible settings.
