Thanks for that, it is silly that a cheap router from ISP handles this better than the more expensive 3rd party one.
Just had another BT engineer visit due to errors and line fault. He did a port change (I think in the cabinet). Would this have resulted in a DLM reset? Line now has 1265 interleaving and G.998.4 (G.INP) no longer showing. Sync now 64630 kbps with max rate 77342 kbps.
Is it now a case of waiting to see what DLM does? If so how long is the wait for G.998.4 (G.INP) to be enabled?

My cheap TalkTalk provided DSL3782 rates A and this rates as B or C.

Have you noticed/heard of 2.4GHz wifi issues with different years of manufacture for DSL-AC88U, I think that was what @nyzlia was thinking, as was I ?
The 3dB target is what I was referring to. I read somewhere that not all cabinets have had this rolled out.
UPDATE2 Speed Boost as BT Openreach Prep 3dB SNR for FTTC Broadband Lines
With regards the wifi issues, the logic I was using was that the later models will hopefully use improved hardware. I see that the March 2018 model I have has hardware version A1. Not sure if that means anything or if they have made improvements to any hardware since launch.

Cabinet is starting to optimise my line. Seems to be trying to increase Sync speed which has resulted in increased FEC. Hopefully FEC won’t impact DLM adversely.
Any ideas what SNR profile I am on now? 3dB?

I had a manufacture date of 2018 and the 2.4GHz chip died, now have a 2017.
Back in around August 2017 the 5GHz wifi suddenly stopped working for me. I was asked by Paul Lee from Asus to provide logs. It was determined that the wifi chip had died. Due to all the firmware bugs at the time, rather than just get another replacement I decided to return it for a refund.

I get 30k FEC in around an hour. Connection has been rock solid so far for me and keeps downstream SNR at around 6.2dB day or night.
I got a replacement sent to me from Amazon as the model sent had a manufacture date of 2017. The manufacture date of the one where the wifi died on me was also 2017. This one has a manufacture date of march 18.
Is your max attainable 66.2MB?

I searched but not found anything online yet. Are you getting the full 80/20 sync with your DrayTek 130? What sort of CRC/ES/SES errors do you get per day on your line with it?

The downstream SNR on your post shows as 4dB, was that set by the DSlam or did you ‘tweak’ it?

Could it be that the DSL-AC88U is reporting my attenuation incorrectly? 18 dB would mean I am 1.3 km from the cabinet right? There is no way I could get over 75000 kbps sync if I was that far from the cabinet.
