Hi all,
Just was just checking my recent bill and noticed a cheaper tariff is available.
Current prices
Elec
Unit price: 21.94
Standing charge: 48.64
Gas
Unit price: 5.34
Standing charge: 31.42
Exit fees: £100 per fuel
New tariff:-
Elec
Unit price: 21.43
Standing charge: 45.94
Gas
Unit price: 5.17
Standing charge: 29.59
Exit Fees £125 per fuel
So went and changed and it seems now that the free to switch fixed tariffs with current supplier for free is no longer from 1st sept, they will charge the fee to switch to a fixed tariff with them or move elsewhere.
Bit of a shame tbh, was nice to be able to switch for to a cheaper tariff with the same provider, i understand paying for switching to a different supplier. This tariff isn’t change isn’t a massive saving but every little helps. This will be my last change until the 2 year is up as unless there is a massive change in the markets, i cannot see me getting my Gas & Elec for £250 cheaper elsewhere :)

Interesting, I not long fixed mine so will wait and see what tariffs are like in future. Do you also get upto £150 if someone uses your link? Couldn’t find much info on there site regarding referrals.

Visited site this evening and got a brief message about anti crawl protection before then loading the page, it was only a few seconds so I cannot recall all of the message. I presume this is something you have on the site to protect against unwanted spam posts etc?
Thanks

Hi all,
Just to update, parents just renewed with PlusNet as there contract runs out in few weeks. Connection been ok, no issues. However, upon looking at the renew, I was going to go on there live chat and see if could get any discount etc but there is no more live chat with plus net, you basically have to call them. So ended up just renewing via the portal on the same plan they have now. Bit disappointing the live chat has gone as was handy for renewals and also to make any queries. For example, I’m hoping they continue to get the referral discount as I used there’s when I signed up to PlusNet and my contract runs out end of the year so I’m hoping the referral still continues as I’m still with them and potentially I will renew in December. There is a local provider to me that I could switch to that is cheaper but I think they want to fit there own ONT etc which is a bit of a pain so I might just renew with PlusNet. I’m hoping some good BF deals in November that will tempt me to renew as I’ll likely be in my last month so should be able to renew.
What’s a bit odd is BT still have chat on there site so was expecting PlusNet to have as well (as they owned by BT) but appears not.

How’s the 13″ compared tot he 11″? Much heavier/awkward to hold if sitting using it on its own without a keyboard/pen?
Considering upgrading parents one for xmas maybe, can’t decide whether to stick to 11″ or go for 13″
Thanks

I’m tempted by incogni but looking at reviews, one thing concerned me. Someone said they signed up and incogni had sent something like 40 requests to different brokers to remove there data, one of them replied and copied in the actual person and they saw that the initial request to remove them contained there data, i.e. name, address, number etc and the broker replied saying they didn’t hold the data but effectively they have just given it all to them. o if they didn’t have it, they now did.
Slightly concerning, I was expecting them to have to give a name or a email etc to remove but not provide all the info as maybe the company only has a email for you but now they potentially have gained your address, number etc.
For some things I guess they need to provide this in order to get your info removed to prove you are the person but I was expecting them to only provide the info they needed i.e. if they only help a email address and name, specify the name and email only, they don’t need to know your phone number, address and whatever else they send them. Seems more of a blanket email to say remove any of this info you hold and they covered so to speak.
I’m basically wanting to reduce the spam email and calls I keep getting which has picked up in last few months, so much that I not have my mobile on silent for any number that calls that I don’t have in my my phone. Which is fine apart from when you are expecting a call from someone say a Doctor for instance and you don’t know what number they will call from, likely to be missed as silenced.

. UK Sentinel Said:Bit stuck with choices you are unless your willing to pay the prices asked by Incogni etc. luckily Incogni offer monthly payment plans so after 3 months plans can be cancelled.
There is another option, Internet Erasure (UK-based) as you pay per removal.
Good for: High-value cases, not mass removal across hundreds of brokers.

Thanks, i saw the prices, £750 upwards, yikes too costly that but also seems more for ensuring certain types of records i.e a conviction, are removed across articles as opposed to just ensuring my personal info is not online or out on a list somewhere for it to be available to whoever via data breaches etc
