Hello. I’ve been having a different problem for the past week. My internet is getting extremely slow. At that time, I want to login to the modem because I wonder if there is a CRC error, but I can’t even log in to the modem, I’m experiencing very slow connection to the modem… I don’t have crc errors or connection problems, but I’m experiencing slowness in reaching the modem. So what is the problem? i added picture.. my fw ver 960 official
Have to reboot mine now and then, usually after 2 weeks or so. Has been like this since the beginning, seems to run out of free RAM. I am on official FW 960.

My DSL-AC51 shifted down to G.lite (G.992.2) , 1.5 Mbit/s downstream and I was still able to use the internet for a couple of days until the DSL line was repaired.
The ISP provided modem would not connect at all through the damaged DSL line, but the Asus could. (at a lower than normal speed)Thanks Asus for making an awesome DSL modem.

May 1, 2020 at 11:11 pm in reply to: ASUS – DSL-AC88U / DSL-AC3100 Firmwares (beta's) etc. Looks like a new Beta Release for the DSL-AC88U is available, this version has Telnet enabled and improved 2.4GHz wifi (I believe). I think it’s probably a god amongst the ac88u models. I’ll be selling tickets for people to come in and look at it soon. It might end up like Lourdes. There could be an entire industry sets up down the street selling replica aerials and rj45 cable. But, oh dear, this is just a dream isn’t it. The crown is about to be be wrested from my grasp. If only I hadn’t rebooted on Sunday afternoon. Everything could have been so different. Unless, unless, unless I manage to locate your address via some sort of reverse ip seach in conjunction with cross-references to past posts and cut your line!

But this time it managed to save itself by freeing up memory to 8 MB. See log.
Note: Free memory dropping to 4 MB within 6 days is due to my particular settings. Other users will likely not experience this. Will reboot it manually and see what happens the next 6 days.

Made it past 6 days runtime for the first time in a long time.
Now I have to revert the changes I made one by one to see which setting is causing the memory leak and sub-sequential reboot every 6 days.Attachments:

Looks like a weekly reboot is the only way around this

Still got 8 MB free RAM now after 4 days runtime, so I am definitely moving in the right direction….
