What is your router ip pool 192.168.??.??
Edit
If pool ending on 254, then change end pool to 250 and set in modem ip to 192.168.xx.251 and it should set gateway ro 252 automatically. So you will use 192.168.xx.251 to login to modem.

Are there any settings in the modem i need to change?

May 7, 2020 at 10:07 pm #7074If you didn’t changed any settings related to lan etc should be OK, if not sure perform factory reset and it should working. Of course if you perform factory reset you will need to setup IP address in modem.

Wan ip is 192.168.X.2 and default gateway is 192.168.X.1, the X is different to the X on the routers Lan ip address pool.

May 7, 2020 at 10:55 pm #7080So for example your router IP in your lan is 192.168.1.1, you need to setup ip in modem to 192.168.1.251 and it should setup 192.168.1.252 automatically for getaway. In router wan settings you should change to get ip automatically. Also in dhcp end pool on 192.168.1.250. Then you should be able to login to modem. When I used two cable solution on eci modem I always had set to get ip automatically because that is for wan, for lan (which is needed for stats) you use lan to lan connections.
My IP adrress as 192.168.1.1 is example only, where yours 192.168.x.1 where “x” must be the same in modem and router, they have to be in the same IP pool otherwise you won’t be able to access modem as asus won’t be able to connect to device from outside of lan IP pool.

May 7, 2020 at 10:56 pm #7081Once is set like that you will access to modem from IP 192.168.x.251.

Great, it is clear now, i thought i have to manually assign wan ip in router, but i have to set it to get wan ip automatically.

May 7, 2020 at 11:04 pm #7083Yes, this setup is different than on vigor as you access vigor through wan port so you have to assign IP, on two cables connection you don’t worry about wan, you have to setup lan access.
