3 vulnerabilities have been discovered which affect the XT8 with firmware : 3.0.0.4.388_24609 also :CVE-2024-3079, CVE-2024-3080 CVE-2024-3912

Is firmware 3.0.0.4.388_24621 also affected and if so : will there be a firmware update to patch these issues?

after update to latest firmware, i’m experiencing some strange behaviour :

every 5 seconds or so, this message is put in the log :

updated this morning to : ASUS ZenWIFI XT8 Firmware version 3.0.0.4.388_24609. (dowloaded manually from support site)

for now, all is working : vpn, remote desktop, ms teams calls, …

will inform if something unusual occurs.

same here : reverted back to 22525, because of unstable satelite connection.

new firmware is running ok so far, no issues what so ever.

Did a factory reset because traffic analyser wasn’t working anymore (due to some dirty up and downgrades, i guess)

after the factory reset, everything is working fine. fingers crossed

took the plunge and am on 3.0.0.4.388_22525 since yesterday evening.

no trouble so far, already 3 Teams calls over Company VPN without interruptions this morning…

Remote desktop session also stable (for now)…

 

Question : How can i check  and/or change wireless backhaul frequency ?

wireless backhaul : one base-station, one satelite. (V1 – hardware)

internet connection through company VPN (F5 / big ip edge client)

hi all,

Tried 3.0.0.4.388.21617 today, but reverted back to 3.0.0.4.386.49873.

• Several ‘Teams meeting’ dropouts
• Several RDP session dropouts.

reminds me of older firmwares that had the same issue.

so, unfortunately : NOGO for me.

upgraded to ASUS ZenWiFi AX (XT8) Firmware version 3.0.0.4.386.49873.

no issues until now : everything working with teams, rdp-sessions, remote working with vpn, video streaming.

my first impressions :

• teams call : no dropouts
• rdp sessions : no freeze
• streaming movie from nas to pc via xt8 satelite : no freeze

if issues occur, will let you know, but so far so good.
