Me too, but a solution to this issue is to use dsl-n16 as a router only i bridge a broadcom modem to it and reboot issue fixed.

It would be great if you could report it to Asus
Do not use ASUS as modem only use it as router . bridge your zyxel to dsl-n16

I assume xDSLFwVersion consists of FwVer and HwVer in the Zyxel world. Do you know if the Zyxel vmg1312-t20b uses a MediaTeK DSL chipset ? as they seem to be generally Broadcom based ?
i agree with him i have many crc errors with asus dsl-n16

Thanks for that update, hopefully they (ASUS) can get the L2TP issue fixed ;-)
update :
asus found what the issue is … they respond to my last email:
Regarding the “l2tp vpn rebooting issue” you mentioned, we have found this problem and we are trying to solve it.
In addition, we have found that it seems that if the client uses Ethernet to connect, this problem will not occur. Only when the connection is made over the wireless network will the reboot occur.
If you are using a wireless for testing, please help us to switch to a wired network for testing to check if it is as I said.
================================================
i turned off wireless radio and problem solved as ASUS support said. a fix coming soon.

I am thinking after reboot, everything works as expected, as RAM usage increases, this is when Wifi clients drop and issues with passwords start etc ? Did this happen with previous firmware’s ?
yes sir,after i reboot the router everything works fine and i was able to connect to wifi without any issue.after reboot free RAM was 22MB.i’m not sure the cause of this issue is RAM or something else but it happen randomly and several times with latest firmware.also i feel newer asus firmware is slower than older firmware.it take several seconds to open setup page with new firmware.unfortunatly i didn’t test older firmware but i think older firmware could have same issue with wifi.
