Just got a weird reply from ASUS:
“Thank you for contacting ASUS support
We are terribly sorry to be advised that you are experiencing issues with your ASUS product.
To arrange a return/RMA of the component, please contact your seller to arrange the return for repair, replacement or refund. Please note that the return can be arranged via the distribution chain only. As ASUS does not sell any products directly to end users we cannot be seen as the seller.
Our apologies for the inconveniences caused to you.”
The problem is the firmware, not sure why this reply was sent. I asked for an update on the firmware and why older firmware was removed from download. This response is absolutely ridiculous.

I asked the question about the removed firmware and for an update on progress with fixing the issues I have been having. Still no response…… Looks like ASUS are either very busy or do not know how to fix all the issues with these units. I am dreading that this will become another unit that ASUS decide to abruptly stop supporting. Really poor communication from ASUS.

Have Asus deliberately removed older firmwares?
Looks like only 42095 and 43181 are now available

I have sent feedback with logs should ASUS need it via the web UI.

Yes that is the firmware.
Still not as good as 42095. I never experienced any Teams issues on 42095 at all.
Test firmware 43184 lost Teams connection once yesterday, and today there were calls that froze mid way. More work to be done to bring it back to the level of reliability as 42095.

Microsoft Teams was a lot better with the beta firmware. Tested yesterday and had issue during one Teams call. A lot better than the latest ‘bad’ firmwares after 42095.

Unfortunately I had several urgent deadlines so not been able to work from home. I will be working from home next Tuesday and can update on progress. The beta firmware is installed and all seems fine, just need to test with Microsoft Teams which was the main issue for me.

Update
Just been contacted by ASUS support who provided a new firmware to try out. Hopefully they have found the route cause of the problem with the newer firmware and my Microsoft Teams issue.

Is the fact that ET8 currently not supporting channels 100-140 and XT8 not supporting channels 149-165 a hardware or software limitation?

Nope! dead as a door nail

Hope this does not turn into another DSL-AC88U

No contact from ASUS for over a week and not responded to emails. Looks like I will be staying on 42095 for a while then.

I have the exact same Teams issue as you dodgy… Just did a system restore (on 43181) and did a couple of small tweaks. Might have to go to 42095 if they don’t work. On vaca for a week, so I won’t get a chance to test for a bit, but I’m watching this thread now in anticipation. Other issues I have had: node drops to 2.4 instead of staying on 5-2 cameras occasionally drop for a minute nest protects reporting in logs that they disconnect and reconnect every minute
I have not had issues with 42095 with the attached settings for 6 days now, but do not have cameras or nest system connected to be able to test.
Hopefully ASUS are looking into my logs to find the problem.
