I can only tell you that you won’t find any shop selling a Fritzbox 5550.

It should fit your requirements, but still not published.
Stay with provider modem (for G.fast) and your own WLAN-router behind to serve your home.

So there might be something wrong with it, either bad download (download again or check checksum) or failure on their side.

Why dont you have a look at Asus DL-page?
https://www.asus.com/Networking-IoT-Servers/WiFi-Routers/ASUS-Gaming-Routers/RT-AX86U/HelpDesk_Download/
It clearly says:Firmware
Version 3.0.0.4.386.46061
2022/01/11 75.31 MBytes
ASUS RT-AX86 Series(RT-AX86U/RT-AX86S) Firmware version 3.0.0.4.386.46061

Consider that it is not easy to support FTTH as there are many very different solutions (HW and SW side) and you will only have a chance in a large local market where you are no.1 vendor.
Even when we have a lot Fritzbox here in Austria they wont offer it.
Each provider will use its own well tested ONT and give you a WLAN-router (Fritzbox) on top.
Much easier to support for providers and costs are similarly. You need to login in order to vote
Voltage must fit, Ampere may be 2.0A or more, it is only minimal 1,75A, so take what you get.
A bit more is even better, as it wont need to run in its limits an last longer. Too much (>3A) will get expensive and wastes a little more power.
The connector has to be the same, there are many looking similar but with different sizes of pin and whole, Asus uses a quite seldom connector as far as I remember with 1,7mm.You need to login in order to vote
Might be helpful (dont know): https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=PgmEdbVW820
Seems you can connect only 1 monitor to one connector (HDMI, USB)

This might be charged with one time or monthly fees.Asus or any other manufacturer cant do anything for you as CGNAT uses internally between your provider to you special 100.x.x.x addresses which are NOT accessible from internet!

I meant to use laptop, docking and monitor without KVM, if this works correctly.
That HDMI from laptop will work is fine, but doesnt tell us anything about docking station to work with this laptop (without KVM in first step).

Does it work with HP laptop and docking station only, monitor connected directly to dock?
I asume you are missing correct docking drivers.

I think we don’t have such a thing like line rental.
You pay for your speed, the higher the more and line is included as you can’t get DSL without a line (or fiber).
Some lucky people have an old copper line and fiber or cable as well (from different provider), so they can choose (internet & phone) which one they like to use and pay for.
If you port DSL to another ISP it will be the same and you pay them, maybe little cheaper (and they have a regulated contract with the line holder/owner Telekom). You need to login in order to vote
May I asked why in UK you still need copper lines with POTS after migration to FTTH oder xDSL at all?
Can’t you at least port your fixed phone number to a cheaper SIP provider and end copper contract? Here in Austria you get one number for free with xDSL or FTTH and all POTS (with splitter) are changed to VoIP with any change of contract (higher speed or just contract obligations).
POST isn’t offered any more since 2 years on new lines (and old ones either).
If you need more than one (like you had e.g. with ISDN) the cheapest option is a SIP provider charging 10β¬/year per number.
3 years ago there has even been some for free, but they stopped services. You need to login in order to vote
