Let’s make it clear, if you have just under 3 milions FEC errors within 15 minutes, you have no chance for positive move from DLM side, I may be wrong but in this industry I didn’t see many miracles.

    Edit,

Even that you will cap downstream to reduce amount of errors to get fastpath, after you remove cap once (if at all) on fastpath you will be interleaved next day, I had exactly same situation before.

    Edit 2

Just for reference, found old screenshot, I had about 7.5 milions FEC errors within 5 days and there was no chance at the time for fastpath on downstream, compared to yours is nothing.

I only use traditional QoS and it’s doing the job. I had day or two where I wasn’t sure if QoS working properly but it turn out that actually broadband throughput was crap due to all this lock down, other than that perfectly fine.

With this fw 3.0.0.4.384.8018, RT-AX88U remind me good old Rt-ac68u, once is set you forget about it. Since flashed no problems at all, working from home every day with wife connected to company vpn, teleconference, skype, WhatsApp. Not even single disconnection , in same time kids watching YouTube and playing online games. Love it

Maybe is worth to look in to root of the problem? 🤔 Your internal wiring as a point 1. 😉

Well we all know every line is different but based on my experience if I had 50k plus FEC errors per day there was no chance for fastpath. If nothing happen within 5-6 days from day when you get fastpath on upstream then I will not expect too much.

Well is not guaranteed , unless you did it and you know how was connected. When you planing next time to turn off your modem take off face plate and have a look where is connected (when you take off face plate it will disconnect modem), there are two sockets where cables can be inserted, one for three cables an that is on base of master socket this is filtered for telephone extension only ( picture 3 from attached auction ) and there is smaller one for two cables only on the back of the faceplate which is unfiltered for broadband extension (picture 4 from auction) . I only suggest that base on your enormous amount of FEC errors.

    Link to auction Mk4 faceplate

Can you post picture how is connected your modem and how is connected extension line to master socket? Just wonder if telephone line which going to your living room is connected to filtered socket or unfiltered.

Have you got any extensions connected to master socket apart your modem.

I think high is not enough to say…

If that won’t get worse, I mean if you don’t loose fastpath I will add at least 1snr to downstream to increase line stability. With this amount of errors you barely have chance to get fastpath on downstream. Have you got filtered face plate mounted? Looking by amount of FEC errors I doubt.

    How errors looking now?

You had resync recently and you got fastpath on upstream now 😁,  it’s going right way.

Just want to add, if there was changes made in settings, bitswap may not turn on until modem is rebooted. Instead of messing around with settings I will power down for solid 10 mins, disconnect all cables also unplug telephone cable (if on filtered faceplate), and after 10 min plug all back in. All should be O.K and bitswap should kick in.

When you playing up with vdsl snr make sure you reboot your modem otherwise it will report negative values like on your CRC – 1,this is incorrect and can cause higher interleave (at least did for me until I realised). Even that you change snr values and you back to stock settings, modem need to be rebooted. Not sure if that is not the case why you don’t have any errors reported on upstream, there should be at least single values.

Can you also do “vdsl status bandinfo”

    Edit

    Should be together “bandinfo”

Can you paste output from “vdsl status counts” command.
