I have received the same build from ASUS. I have started now the new test but without reset the settings because Iβm not at home to reinitialize all the parameters with the correct values. But I hope that this is not a problem.

The router of my ISP is the Comtrend AR 5307U, for me is more important the upload than download I prefer 2.5mb of upload and 10mb of download than 25 MB of download and 2 of upload. Thanks.
The Comtrend AR5307U alsoΒ has a MediaTeK chipset, so looks like in your part of the world, for highest upload synch speed (Annex M) , MediaTeK chipset suits your needs best.
I personnaly use Lantiq based DSL chipset, but they, like Broadcom, will not synch as at a higher rate compared to MediaTeK, but are very stable.
Looks like DSL-AC56 is a wise upgrade, for you

We have found root cause of memory leak issue, but not sure whether this is the only issue at the moment. This version is based on Build578 codebase, with Broadcom Patch5/ all WiFi patches adopted and with this memory leak issue fixed, should be optimal version currently. Feel free to share on your forums.Β

I assume the download Synch speed increased with Annex B, is Upload Synch speed being higher more important than download?
Let us know what name of ISP Modem name is, so I can check what DSL chipset is has?

I contacted my ISP many times and they say that my line is OK. When I mention that I have an ASUS modem, they reply that they canΒ΄t guarantee functionality with any other modem than ISPΒ΄s supplied one. Then they suggest me to try their modem. The problem is that I donΒ΄t have it. Or better to say I have one, but not very modern (It doesnΒ΄t support G.INP nor G.Vector at all.) Anyway thanks for your help. I will keep trying to find other solution.
Maybe a thought to send ASUS a feedback form from Routers User Interface (GUI) and see if they can add any value, mention you have spoken about it to ‘UK Sentinel’ and they may (no guarantee) be able to assist or fix technical issue with router?
Worth a try?

FYI –Β if the gateway is failing to respond to echo requests, hence the router will send these requests until the gateway/exchange replies, or disconnect connection,Β This is something you may have to investigate with your ISP?

Both the DSl-AC52 and DSL-AC56U have the same MediaTeK DSL chipset, but the DSL-AC56U does have more RAM and is a good little unit.
Was you given a modem with your ISP service, what does the stats on this read?
Alas the Broadcom 63138 DSL chipset for ADSL is not ideal, maybe worth looking at an older Broadcom based modem/router?
For testing, try Annex A, just out of interest, I know in theory, Annex M should have more Upload Synch speed, but worth testing, ?

Hi @gigios, this is still showing no increase in memory usage by the DSL-AC88U running Beta 540 firmware. I think you have proved very well beta540 is a good point to allow ASUS to start new firmware development. I am happy for you to stop and will tell ASUS of your good work and results.
Thnk you for your kind help ;)

Is it possible to tweak SNR manually even on the DSL-AC88U? I thought you canΒ΄t do it on Broadcom chipset.
It is on my DSL-AC88U, ASUS have always said, for ADSL, SNR Tweaking is available, for VDSL, it is not. unsure about Annex M, but assume it still applies like ADSL
Have a look under Administration > DSL Settings > Stability Adjustment (ADSL) ;)
