Starting from firmware version 3.0.0.6.102_35404, the name will change from [Guest Network Pro] to [Network].
The RT-BE92U does have ‘Network’ as does the RT-BE86U, ‘sip pass-through’ is standard on all ASUS routers as I remember my older RT-AC86U also had this option.
I cannot see and VLAN options on my RT-BE92U, but I believe you are correct that the RT-BE86U supports VLAN ID’s on the LAN which maybe better suited for your requirments.

In a completely sane world, madness is the only freedom (J.G.Ballard).
Can you check on RT-BE92U from the web GUI, go to Advanced Settings > LAN > IPTV tab. > Select ISP Profile > Manual Settings VID is VLAN option
btw. screen from attachment below is not from RT-BE92U

Hi,
recently I’ve watched on internet for new DSL-AX82U, just in case if my breaks, just a few left and sold,
any news from ASUS for predecessor? let’s say DSL-BE82U or something

Yes in Germany you need to register ONT Modem (ID Serial or Modem ID) and OLT with ISP through a special link given from your ISP, the same way as in UK.
There is a way to reprogram (clone) ONT’s ID into GPON module and use it with other routers such as ASUS, but this process is very difficult for me, if ASUS allowed in GUI to change SFP module’s (GPON) parameters it would be super.
For now the simpliest is using ONT unfortunately.
Here is some interesting Information:

Hi,
is this module compatible https://www.fs.com/uk/products/141198.html?now_cid=2845
there is also an AVM module https://www.amazon.de/AVM-maximale-Geschwindigkeiten-Glasfaser-geeignet/dp/B0D1RFS66Q?language=en_GB it says it’s only compatible with FritzBox but I think it’s a marketing for not using it with other Routers (maybe i am mistaken).
And have i understood correctly that with this module the Router becomes a “Modem Router”
The reason I want to connect directly to fiber is I don’t like aditional ONT modem with many cables and so on, and I don’t like FritzBox either.
Or maybe you or ASUS can advice which one to use with RT-BE88U (it’s like 4G stick compatibility)
BTW, we use GPON in Germany
Thank you

What happened to ASUS DSL-AX82U support website ??? https://www.asus.com/networking-iot-servers/modem-routers/all-series/dsl-ax82u/helpdesk_bios/?model2Name=DSL-AX82U
it’s been for a week, it’s not existing at all

The same with DSL-AC68VG Modem Router with no updates for years and no website or info exists at all.
https://www.asus.com/au/supportonly/dsl-ac68vg/helpdesk_bios/?model2Name=DSL-AC68VG
Or is it a usual manner from Asus, max 2 years to support Modem models and then drpop it with no updates whatsoever, it’s very disgusting from them.

Thank you UK Sentinel,
I am very exited and looking forward to this update…

By the way, GL.iNet mini Routers already have it.

Hi,
would it be possible for ASUS in future updates to change “Trend Micro” to more comprehensive “AdGuard Home” Ad and Malicious Sites Blocker, like in Linux and Raspberry Pi ? I think it’s in Merlin firmware already, I maybe mistaken.

It’s free and much better
